Kid’s Songs Reimagined 2

This Week —

Sometimes the Elf likes to listen to The Muffin Man. Over. And over. And over. It can be maddening. Is there a song that your kiddos listen to so often that it makes you want to lose your %$#& (ahem, Baby Shark)? Then take a deep, calming breath and listen to this playlist full of kids’ songs that are not only more engaging for your child, but also more appealing for those adults in the room. The first version of this playlist was so popular that we decided to create another one for ya’ll!

Listen To —

Get ready to hear children’s songs performed by phenomenal artists and bands that'll get you and your kids bopping around (and won't cause you to become completely unhinged if played a million times). We’re talking gems such as Aretha Franklin’s You’ve Got to Accentuate the Positive and Slim Slam’s Laughin’ in Rhythm. Trust us: these are tunes you can play on repeat without the unpleasant side effect of a pounding headache.

Let’s Make Music —

This playlist will make you and your kiddos want to grab anything that makes a whole buncha noise and create a big ol’ family music-making party. If you’d like to take it a step further, here are some great ideas for musical toys we recommend for our little Elves:

  • Pound and Tap Xylophone: this toy teaches little ones about cause and effect; my three-year-old still uses the xylophone for his music classes!

Wooden egg shakers, Bar bell shake, and Wooden Clatter: While playing the shakers and bells, your little one can experiment with rhythm, enhance fine motor skills and refine his or her grasp.

 Happy playing!
